I wanted to give you an inside glimpse at my sewing space.  I am very fortunate to have quite a large area to work in and I absolutely love spending time there.  This is the photo I took of the space right after moving everything in.  It is definitely not always this tidy but the tile flooring and storage space make it pretty easy to keep uncluttered.  My sewing machine and serger are stored in the cabinet to the left in the photo. The cabinet has a pull down desktop that I can actually use as a sewing machine surface.  The three drawers at the lower part of the cabinet store my extra fabric.  There is a closet next to the ironing board that I keep my samples and hard paper patterns in.

I have a chalk board that I used to brainstorm my ideas for developing the In-House Patterns line.  I want the patterns to embody my own sense of style and values.  So if your wondering what to expect from the pattern line, here is a snap shot of the descriptive words I used:

Now, in the lower right hand corner are two ideas for potential pattern series.  The one written in orange?  Well, that's my husbands idea...do I need to say more?  Regardless of the motivation for his idea, I thought it was a good one.

Below is an inspiration board which I use to display my current ideas and color stories.

I am a HUGE fan of fashion books.  I believe you should constantly keep advancing your skills no matter how long you've been doing something.  There is always something to learn if you are open to it.  Here is a very small sampling from my library.

I hope you enjoyed seeing inside my sewing space.  I would love it if you put a link to your sewing space in the comments.
