Hi Everyone! Hope your doing well! I've been busy writing the assembly instructions for the new Belle Bow Blouse coming soon. It's amazing how much harder it is to illustrate sewing methods than to do the actual sewing! Does anyone even read the instructions? I hope so, there is a lot of work that goes into that!
I wanted to let you know that I found the print for my Spring 2012 color palette! I think I wandered around the fabric store for about 2 hours before finally deciding on it. I was undecided about it for a while because it is quite a large floral and the colors weren't exactly like my palette but I decided that I would tweak my color palette and now I think I love it!

What do you think? I actually saw this print last Fall and loved it then, but today, it was decidedly even more attractive at 30% off. The fabric is a beautiful 100% silk crepe georgette, purchased at Fabricana which is one of my local fabric stores. I also saw it at Fashion Fabrics Club Online for a very good price as well. I machine washed and dried it (gently) and it turned out beautifully! I'm kind of a wash an wear kind of girl so I am always pleased when I can do this with silk.
Now that I have found my print, which is central to planning a wardrobe, the next step is to find the coordinating fabrics and build a Fabric Board. The Fabric Board is a record of your fabrics which you can use when planning your styling. I'll share more about that next time. In the mean time, I would love your feed back!
