Over at Pattern Review, there is a forum category titled "Fitting Woes". I read it, and comment when I think I understand the situation and feel I can be of help in some way. My comments seem to go unanswered but I keep on trying. I think there is a real misunderstanding of how to assess the garment and where to start, especially when there are no visuals involved. So, when Lizz, at A Good Wardrobe, asked me to do a guest post on fitting, I was completely thrilled, and set to work on it immediately!
