Are you guys willing to offer you opinion? I really want to hear what you think about this. Yes, really. Lately, I am obsessed with shift dresses. I think this can be blamed on Mad Men. I am an avid fan of the show and can't help but be influenced by it so I've been turning to the late 1960's for inspiration for the next pattern release. In the off chance that you haven't heard of the Center for Pattern Design, please follow the link and check them out. They are doing great work to preserve the skills of pattern making and draping and have many books and workshops on the subject. They are worth a go see! I received their newsletter today which included a link to this video. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! Mary Martin 1953

I may need to adjust the amount of gathering, especially at the back bodice, but I'm kind of in love with it. What do you think? I also came across this one, dated 1973. I'm not in love with the ruffles around the neckline but that is super easy to eliminate. Perhaps a shorter length and adding a short sleeve might work? What caught my eye, to be honest, was the french dart. ...
