  • The Chelsea blouse is a modern pull over top with a loose and airy fit.  Side seams slant gradually toward the front for a flattering, slimming effect.  With interchangeable sleeve patterns and numerous fabric combination possibilities you'll find this pattern extremely versatile.

View A is tunic length and features a scoop front neckline finished with the beautiful French binding technique. The tulip sleeves and flattering curved hemline are elegantly finished with a tiny machine rolled hem.

View B features a V shaped front neckline also finished with the beautiful French binding technique.  The straight hems of the short sleeves and body are hand finished with a blind stitch hem.  The back body is shown in contrast lace fabric with a pretty scalloped edge.

This pattern includes A, B, C and D cup sizes!

This is a multi-size downloadable PDF sewing pattern in women's sizes XS-XL. All print options are included in the pattern files so you can print at home on US letter or A4 paper sizes or at a printshop capable of printing on 36" large format printer.

    Suggested Fabrics

View A and B are both well suited to woven blouse weight fabrics that drape softly including crepe de chine, faille, georgette, and rayon challis.   For best results choose contrast fabrics with similar drape to the main fabric.

    Comments:

This is my absolute most often made top. In most cases I sew View B and add approximately 2" of length to the body so I can wear it with skinny pants. The body length out of the package is perfect to wear with jeans and wider leg pants. View A is a long tunic style that is great with leggings and the tulip sleeve is great for ease of movement and comfort.
